2006年11月，Damien Rice发行最新专辑《9》。

同上一张专辑《0》一样，依旧提供整张专辑的全部歌曲在线试听。只是因为还没有电影使用其中的歌曲，不然也会提供那个《Closer》中一样感人的MTV，但相信不久便会有很多爱情电影使用的。

Damien Rice，来自爱尔兰。印象里凡是来自那个民族的歌手或者乐队我都是超级喜欢，很神奇。

听了一整晚，不厌，不倦。

木吉他，沙哑的声音，简单的旋律，但这种忧郁和凄凉却总能深深地吸引我。

Bright Eyes这些年在独立音乐圈中广受好评，音乐上贯彻的是松弛自省，忧郁感伤的美学概念。与那些上口的Indie-pop相比，Bright Eyes的音乐显得不那么流行。

写着报告，开着Last.fm听歌。还是偶尔听到喜欢的便去look下。遇到了支乐队叫“Clap Your Hands Say Yeah”，以前闲“stars”的名字起得俗，这下无语了。关注了下评论，看到一则：Saw someone on Last.Fm playing this band. I thought what a weird name for a band, and decided to check them out. The first song I put on was “The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth”, I liked the rhythm but then the singer began to sing. I thought what is wrong with the dude. But I decided to listen on. Now it’s one of my favourite bands, and I love the singing. Check them out people. 和我一样，先听到的也是那首”The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth“, 我真是服了他们起的名字。网上搜了下，才知道是个indie。现在独立的东西是越来越多了，真的有些让人应接不暇。在主页上下了2支歌，感觉没有自己听到的那支好，本来想上传，可不知为什么opera的网站打不开了。

感觉主唱的嗓音光唱摇滚有点浪费，应该试着唱两首”The Offspring“那样的朋克，相信应该也差不到哪去。咋就找不到唱片公司呢？连郑钧不也签了“EMI”了？音乐就得大家听，就要有商业上的宣传嘛，没人给你发行那还得了。

这是一支纽约布鲁克林区的5人独立摇滚乐队，他们是如此独立以至于这张处男专辑至今都没有找到唱片公司进行发行，只在他们网站发售。然而，这张欢快的唱片又唤起了人们对独立摇滚的美好记忆，“拍拍手说Yeah” 就是它最好的注解。唱片大部分时候就像是Talking Heads在新世纪的美妙再现，洋溢着上个世纪70年代那种久违了的校园艺术摇滚的灿烂气息，主唱漫不经心的华丽唱腔也让人想起David Byrne。而在另一些时候，则让我想起James早期作品，清爽却带着透明的迷幻感，美妙得令人心旷神怡。

和"The Postal Service"一样同属电音的Indie Pop组合，歌声也有些相似。没听过新专辑，据说销量不错，竟然还得了MTV 2005 Best Video Woodie的奖项。这支歌的MTV是主唱躺在手术台上做一个更换心脏的手术，虽然里面的器官全是假的，丝毫不血腥，但看了仍恐怖。

Tegan and Sara, 双胞胎的乐队还真是不多，而且她们彼此的音色却大不相同（I Won’t Be Left）。听的时候总是感觉声音好熟悉，却又想不起来是谁，只有几首歌像前些日子介绍的那个姐妹组合的吉普塞乐队，但本来想的应该是个歌手，。算了，好听就行。她们其中一个的声音好适合唱乡村摇滚的，尤其在唱那种绕音时（Your Love），真的好像Sheryl Crow，但年过40的Sheryl Crow也很早就转成摇滚了。

找不到较好的中文介绍，却竟然从网上找到了这么多的下载，挺高兴。
